Project Description

A house of worship in located in a historic neighborhood in the City of Houston. The historic building built in 1927 was originally known as the Norhill Church of Christ. The design remained generally unchanged until its renovation in 1959. The “modern style” renovation shown here, was designed by Houston Architect, Lenard Gobert AIA and Associates. Now 2024, our goal is to re-image the building in a contemporary way while highlighting the importance of historic preservation. Through love of the community and those served, Hope Lutheran Church decided to step up to save the building for future generations. We're excited to begin a full renovation that's sure to be a shinning light in the historic Norhill neighborhood of the Heights. At DPA, we foster and applaud historic preservation.
